Reflection
Reflection can be found in many places, from mirrors to lakes and even in windows.
Reflection is the return of light after hitting a surface such as a mirror.
There are two main types of reflection, specular and diffuse.

Specular
Specular is reflection across a flat and smooth surface. On a flat surface, virtually all light that hits the surface, is reflected equally. In specular reflection, the light reflected is at the same angle as the light that hits the mirror. A mirror is a very good example of specular reflection. The smooth reflective glass gives you an image of you. The light from the object hits a an angle and is reflected at an equal angle. The reason you seem to see yourself at a straight path in the mirror, is the way the brain perceives the reflected rays.
DiffuseDiffuse is reflection across a rough surface. The ray of light comes in at only one angle but when hitting the rough surface, they reflected rays of light are scattered and different angles. This gives the original object a distorted look.
